Jeremy Purin is one of the most exciting recent graduates to emerge onto the local art scene and definitely the most energetic. At blank projects he will show an evolving installation, creating an interactive environment that will hopefully not destroy the space.
OPENING: WEDNESDAY 5 MARCH (18h00) CLOSING EVENT: FRIDAY 4 APRIL 2008
blank projects is an artist-run project space in Cape Town which encourages experimentation, diversity and dialogue in contemporary African art.
In association with Pro Helvetia and The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, blank projects also hosts and administers residencies for visiting artists to promote much needed dialogue and cultural exchange between Southern Africa and Europe. Recently blank has begun working together with the Goethe Institut with a view to developing relationships with German artists and institutions as well.
Since 2005 blank has hosted over 60 exhibitions & projects, and nine residencies for international artists.
